Our Spring Bear is no more, but we are booking this Fall hunt as of the 15th of Aug tell the 14th of Oct. This is a new up date for 1999.We use baits in a two townships just off the Chapleau Game Preserve this keeps our game population high. These baits are frequented by the old bruins, but still offer a challenging shot for your trophy.
In the Fall we think you will enjoy hunting this wild country for moose, bear or small game. There is no experience like silently gliding down a waterway in a canoe, and waiting for that big bull moose to appear out of the morning mist, or waiting in the evening twilight for a black bear to come to the bait. The weather in October is usually beautiful, but come prepared for anything from summer heat to snow. Our bush is also full of ruffed grouse and snowshoe hare, and our waterways attract ducks and geese, so bring your shotgun and .22. You're also welcome to bring your favorite hunting dog, just make sure you have proof of it'S shots when you cross the border. Sorry no handguns are allowed across the Canadian border. And to save time and money bring an old hunting license when purchasing your Ontario hunting permit.
We limit the number of hunters we book to 12 a week, so call or write early for information and final reservations .We also have outpost camps available for moose hunters who want to rough it a little more.
